The Pulse SK4

The Pulse SK4

Welcome to May's edition of The Pulse SK4, the monthly newsletter which keeps you up to date on any news, changes and events within your local area.

The property market is really starting to pick up pace now as we enter the Spring months with properties selling and renting quicker than ever. With the recent elections now over, people are starting to now focus on moving home. The traditional busy Spring period has kicked into gear!

There have been many changes over the past few weeks but one recently that I am genuinely saddened to see is that Mike Wilson, who ran Philip James Wilson Estate Agents is no longer with us as an Estate Agent in Heaton Moor. Although he was our competitor, he was a great agent and along with ourselves helped to promote and elevate The Heatons as a firm rival to Didsbury!  We wish Mike the best of luck in London and Greg his new successor certainly has big shoes to fill!

As always, I hope you find the below useful and if you wish to see any particular event or area covered in future editions then please contact me directly at jbethell@julianwadden.co.uk

Cheers

Julian

The Savoy Cinema

The Savoy cinema could re-open as early as this Autumn!

A family run cinema business has bought the property and will be restoring this historic Heatons venue back to a working cinema. The Mundins family have already successfully renovated two similar cinemas - The Ritz in Belper, Derbyshire and the Regal in Melton Mowbray, so it sounds like the The Savoy is in great hands.

Amanda Mundin the owner said "Cinema plays an important part in many communities and we feel The Savoy will be no exception. We want to bring vibrancy to that part of town and create a buzz that will be felt all around The Heatons".

Having spoken with local businesses the new owners remarked on how the strength of the community group 'Save our Savoy' made a huge impact in their decision to purchase the 91 year old independent cinema.

Fantastic News!
