Welcome to the June edition of The Pulse SK5, the monthly newsletter which keeps you up to date on any news, changes and events within your local area.
I hope you have all been enjoying our recent good weather and are getting in to the Summer spirit.. Houldsworth Square certainly looked that way on Saturday 12th June when Reddish's annual community festival, Reddfest, was held. There was a great turn out and it seemed to go down a storm, emphasising the great community spirit that we have here in SK5.
Have a look at the below articles, and as always, if you wish to see any particular event or area covered in future editions then please contact me directly at Andrew@julianwadden.co.uk.
Arts for recovery in the Community
Have a look at the below link which directs you to the website of a fantastic local community project. If you haven't heard of 'ARC' then I suggest you have a look in to the project, who's core visions are; to create a healthy society by getting people to create together, making their own choices, share support and take responsibility, in order to regain their confidence and find reason to hope for a brighter future, by joining an artistic community where people support each other.
