Welcome to May's edition of Bricks and Clicks, the monthly e-magazine that keeps you up to date with the ongoing changes and developments to the Town Centre. 

This month includes updates on both: the Stockport Exchange development and the rapid bus scheme, as well as a large upcoming residential development, a great news story about Stockports rapidly growing economy, and a developing story involving The Blossoms and a television deal with Netflix which is very exciting as is would be set in Stockport..

Work on the next phase of Stockport Exchange has now started, following the announcement that ADM Regeneration has been appointed to demolish the former Cineworld cinema.

Rapid Bus Scheme: An update from Stockport Council<br />

The vision of creating a new rapid transit bus scheme between Stockport and Manchester Airport moved a step closer, as the funding to further develop the proposals has been secured from the Government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund.

Battersby Hat Works on Hempshaw Lane is set to be transformed<br />

Proposals by developer Lane End to convert the Battersby Hat Works in Offerton into 144 homes, including 79 shared ownership, have been granted planning permission by Stockport Council.

The Blossoms: new venture could help promote Stockport even further<br />

Stockport band The Blossoms have teamed up with Early Doors stars Craig Cash and Phil Mealey as they bid for their own Monkees-style TV show which could be aired on Netflix and set in Stockport Town Centre
